Do I really know what I’m talking about?
Well, none of us will ever know everything, but after many years of university education and more importantly, 13 years of practice, during which I have worked with many hundreds of people, I’ve learnt a thing or two . . .
Qualifications – :
- BSc Phytotherapy (Medical Herbalism) University of Wales
- Post-grad dip. Nutritional Therapy. University of Worcester
- GAPS certified practitioner
- Institute of Functional Medicine AFMCP graduate (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice).
- EFT Facilitator
Lectures and seminars
- Birmingham University Medical Students – Introduction to herbal and nutritional medicine (annual lecture given every year for 8 years)
- National Institute of Medical Herbalists 2 x 1 day courses: “Nutritional Supplements – seeing through the marketing hype” and “Natural Medicine for Insulin Resistance” – I was invited to give a repeat lecture at the Annual Conference
- Birmingham Women’s Hospital – regular talks to the Endometriosis Group
- Birmingham FreshWinds Charity (People with chronic and Incurable disease). Frequent talks on Herbal and Nutritional subjects.
- University of the Third Age (U3A). Regular talks on Herbal and Nutritional Medicine.
- BBC West Midlands – I was the “go to” person for comments on herbal medicine or nutrition in the news, and spoke frequently (1 – 5 times a month) on these matters.
- Articles – many. In regional newspapers and magazines.
